June ushers in a new Entertainer of the Month and we couldn’t be more proud to present Shelley La’Belle. She has performed nightly at Omar’s Show Bar in Lansing, Michigan.

After two years of dancing she continues to exhibit some very diverse talents – one of which is an accomplished burlesque dancer. Though she only seriously took up burlesque a year ago, her heart was touched by Josephine Baker during a dance class years ago and “I just fell down the burlesque rabbit hole”, she says.

Shelley isn’t a one truck pony either – showing her true strength is her versatility.

“I’ve had an affinity for pole ever since I trained on silks in high school for circus performances” she says as she prepares for upcoming performances.

“I’ve been blessed to have good people around me work wise that really push me out of my comfort zone”, she says.

If you missed her performance at Urban Beats in Lansing you can still see her performing in the near future because Omar’s is hosting a burlesque show on June 25th. The show is put on by two lovely burlesque queens Marina Casanova and Margaux Royale.

“I’ve been apart of this show once and I’m excited to be back”, she says.
